The Birth of The Blue Wind Series | When a Breeze Becomes a Legend
We are proud to share The Blue Wind, a series ofeight original artworks inspired by an extraordinary moment—an ordinary breezecaptured in a photograph of Marilyn Monroe.
It was just a breeze—unremarkable, fleeting. Yet because ithappened to pass at just the right moment, and because Marilyn Monroe wasthere, it became immortalized by the click of a shutter. The resulting imagemay not have been taken with the most expensive film, nor printed on the finestpaper. But through the chance encounter of Monroe and the wind, it became alegend.
That breeze was swept into the headlines, onto magazinecovers, into films and advertisements. It spread across the globe, transformedinto a symbol of fashion and cultural memory. And yet, behind that image’sglamorous flame, perhaps Monroe herself was already bearing silent wounds.
This reflection brought to my mind the colour Klein Blue.Yes—only this blue can truly speak for the feeling I was searching for. It isthe colour of glacial depths, of the deep ocean, of outer space—and of thequiet sorrow that lies at the bottom of the heart. It is a blue that is calmand profound, melancholic and solitary, tender and still, free yet hollow. Thisblue gently touches the fragile and passionate strings hidden deep within mysoul.
That wind once brushed against Monroe, and now it stirs a blue ripple in my heart.
And so, the Blue Wind series was born.
